BLUE SLATE CHIPPINGS
Really nice slate chippings. Natural blue with pieces of plum and green intermingled. Comes from crushing the slate waste stockpiles of Wales. Colour can vary from batch to batch. The 20mm is great for planting areas, paths especially and drives whereas the larger chunkier 40mm is especially good for ground cover and rockeries. The blue slate is the flatish of all colours so can be the neatish finish of all and again is fantastic when wet.

PLUM SLATE CHIPPINGS
The best selling colour of slate chippings. The 20mm is the ideal size for paths, drives and ground cover. Lays flat and good to walk on. The colour mainly plum/purple with odd bits of blue. Lovely colour when wet. Goes well with slate features or rocky lumps in another colour. Many people use the 40mm for drives as it will last longer than 20mm, much bolder and chunkier and will take longer to settle down.

BLUE SLATE PADDLESTONES
Pieces of larger blue slate, tumbled to produce flat rounded slate paddlestones as a large ground cover product. Used for a scree like effect or to stand out more than normal chippings between rockeries and planting areas. Can be walked on as they settle but not for paths or drives. Best in and around water and is unusual compared to normal finishes.

PLUM SLATE PADDLESTONES
Pieces of larger plum slate are tumbled to produce flat rounded slate paddlestones as a large ground cover product. Will cover ground well in rockeries or planting areas. Can be walked on but not advisable for paths or drives due to their size. Unusual, different and striking, these work at their best in water, around water or as a feature within a mixed design.

GOLDEN GRAVEL
This is the larger size of our popular multicoloured natural gravel. Partly rounded with yellows, cream and brown colours. Used mainly for drives and ground cover. Being chunky it does not move on drives as much as smaller materials and is more distinctive for borders, rockeries and ground cover. Very effective and OK to walk on, but not recommended for paths. Also known as Yellow Shingle, Corn or Solent Gravel.

PEA GRAVEL
A multicoloured rounded gravel with varying shades of brown and chestnut. Famously used as a general path and decorative ground cover for outdoor gardens. Also known as the Atlantic Shingle, this aggregate material is especially good for pathways.

SLATE MONOLITHS
Designed to be dug, concreted into beds or rockeries to give solid height and form. These are supplied in all shapes and sizes as they are picked from the slate stockpiles at the quarry so some can be chunky and some thin and tall. Can be used along with rocks, planters or larger monoliths for a slate featured area within the garden and as a unique focal point in any gravelled or rockery area. Sizes range from 2ft to 6ft and can weigh between 80-200kg.
